The Athens Biennale festival is a melting pot of artistic culture where artists from all over the world integrate their work into the urban Athenian landscape. Cosmote, Greece's leading mobile brand, as grand sponsor of the event wanted to mix creativity and technology. We worked along side OgilvyAction to develop a mechanism that would engage consumers creatively and at the same time contained the brand messages that Cosmote wanted to promote. The aim was to develop an application that allowed users to create a piece of work that then in turn would be displayed during Biennale. Visitors to the Athens Biennale, by visiting the Cosmote kiosk, were able to design their own art work through the two 50 inch touch screens. Through a series of steps users chose different graphical elements in order to produce their own creations. Preset designs, effects and backgrounds were at the creative disposal of visitors who had a blank canvas to unleash their creativity upon. Their creation was then added to the Cosmote Bienalle wall, a collage of all the user creations. Users had the ability to also print out or email their creation to friends.
