Everybody loves the world cup. The summer of 2010 was one of those where everyone eats, sleeps, drinks, talks football. Vodafone, always present in big events such as these and as sponsors of the Greek National Football Team naturally wanted to do something different. In cooperation with the vodafone web and sponsorship teams we developed an interactive e-card game called 'The Greatest Fan'. Users were invited to submit their best slogan for the Greek National Team using the application and win prizes. Users could choose form a variety a scenes, change the heads of the characters with those of their friends. Moreover, by inserting their telephone number in the application, users received an instant call back to which they could record their own National team football chant. Put it all together and you could send your friends a funky, soccer e-card with your face and you own personalized sound message... The entire mechanism was hosted within the Vodafone.gr website and a very strict adherence to brand guidelines was maintained. Chracter illustration and animation were developed in cooperation with Ilias Sounas.
