For the 2006 MarketingExpo of Southeastern Europe, Marketing Week Conferences, represented by Boussias Communications, wanted to be the first in Greece to introduce a comprehensive mobile guide solution for their flagship trade show event. The vast array of exhibitors and events posed both a challenge and an opportunity to showcase this technology for the first time to marketers. A series of download stations were deployed within the exhibition area, where users could download a mobile app that would give them access to exhibition information. Due the shear size of the information available, a modular approach was adopted, allowing users to download only the information they required. With this approach each user could modify the event guide to suit his or her needs and conserve on precious storage space on their device.
