The Athens International Motor Show is always a spectacular event and an attraction for boys and girls from all over the country. TIM, now rebranded as Wind, one of the three Greek mobile network operators and grand sponsors of the exhibition, wanted to take advantage of this very busy event and sign on as many new customers as they could. In order to achieve this objective, in cooperation with KICK, we decided to use a mechanism spanning across two platforms. Visitors entering the exhibition hall were prompted to turn on the bluetooth connectivity on their mobile devices. Those who opted in received an array of premium content as well as a mobile coupon with a randomly generated unique code which prompted them to visit Winds’ kiosk to take part in an instant win competition. Upon arrival at the exhibition stand visitors were welcomed by sales personnel who guided users through the mechanism. Visitors took part in the competition by entering the unique code into the TIM advergame application accessible through a number of touch screen info kiosks situated around the stand. Winners of the game received a number of great prizes on the spot, such as Motorola mobile phones, limo rides and other cool stuff. The results were great, with sales targets being overshot two fold!
